About Us
A strong foundation for empowering the Youth
Our Journey
How it all started
In the year 2019, a 16-Year-Old Girl, Patricia Makele, then a student at Precious Blood Girls Riruta Secondary School, full of love for People and the Environment and having experienced the challenges facing society, came to the conclusion that “Nothing Changes unless we change it “
This led to the formation of Makele Youth Development Journey, positioning itself as a Transformational Bridge for young people to the labor market and self-employment.
By putting emphasis on potential value addition on beautiful products made from waste materials, Makele Youth Development Journey assists young people with particular niches on innovative abilities.
Innovation, Creativity, and problem-solving abilities are central to Makele Youth Transformational Program for it enhances ways that are relevant to employability.
Some Cool Facts
Our achievements
Many Young People cannot find employment leading to a society full of unhappy Young people. Our Transformational program provides a potential opportunity to bridge this gap of unemployment by integrating young people into the labor market through Youth Entrepreneurship program that offers potential benefits with the aim of developing their inner innovative and creative abilities. However, for this program to succeed, we have to help the young people to deal with Four Major Challenges: Human, Social, and Financial Capital, Low-Value addition for their products, Low Products Entry into the market, and Market Failures for their finished Products.
We do recognize that solving the above challenges is not easy but the thirst for knowledge and learning, collaboration with our partners from learning institutions and private sectors play a key role in helping us solve the above challenges on this transformational journey.
